The Role
As a Solution Architect – Property & Asset Systems, you'll lead the architecture across our property and asset technology platforms, with an initial focus on the Asset domain.
You'll establish a clear view of our current systems, integrations and data, while shaping the future technology needed across commercial assets, maintenance, construction and building handover.
Working across Property, Operations, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Security and external suppliers, you'll help connect our current technology landscape with a clear, sustainable target state.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and maintain the architectural view of our property and asset platforms, including systems, integrations, data flows and dependencies.
Lead current-state discovery and establish reliable architecture baselines across our property technology estate.
Define and assure data and integration approaches across the asset lifecycle, including construction, Golden Thread information and project handover.
Provide architecture and design assurance for projects, programmes and BAU changes.
Produce architecture documentation including impact assessments, high- and low-level designs, options papers and decision records.
Identify technical debt, risks and opportunities, working with internal teams and suppliers to develop practical solutions.
Shape technology roadmaps, transition plans and future-state designs.
Work closely with Data, Integration, Infrastructure, Security and Enterprise Architecture specialists to ensure solutions are secure, supportable and aligned with wider technology strategy.
Support architecture governance and maintain accurate system and architecture records.
Explore opportunities around IoT, smart buildings, automation and AI where they support agreed business outcomes.
What We're Looking for in You
Practical Solution Architecture experience across live applications, SaaS platforms, integrations and operational services.
Strong understanding of data, APIs, integrations, data flows and data quality.
Experience producing architecture documentation and providing design assurance.
Ability to move between detailed current-state architecture and future-state roadmaps and solutions.
Understanding of areas such as security, resilience, service readiness and supplier dependencies.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across technical, operational and project teams.
A pragmatic approach to balancing strategic goals with operational needs, cost, risk and technical debt.
Confidence working with ambiguity and incomplete documentation, with the ability to establish a clear baseline before recommending change.
Experience within property, facilities, construction, asset management or the built environment would be beneficial.
Knowledge of BIM, structured asset information, construction handover, Salesforce, asset management platforms or integration technologies would be an advantage.
